Abstract

This article aims to review current screening and prevention strategies for hepatitis B and C, highlighting evidence-based clinical recommendations and challenges faced in implementing these strategies, using the PubMed database with the terms "Hepatitis B", "Hepatitis C ", “Tracking” and “Prevention”. The review of screening and prevention strategies for hepatitis B and C reveals that although there are significant advances in developed areas, there remain substantial challenges in implementing these strategies in resource-limited settings. The effectiveness of screening programs depends heavily on available healthcare infrastructure and the ability to adapt approaches to local needs. Early identification and intervention are crucial to reducing the burden of these infections, but unequal coverage and structural barriers still compromise the reach and effectiveness of public health strategies. To improve control of hepatitis B and C, it is essential to continue to strengthen evidence-based clinical recommendations and promote the adaptation of screening and prevention strategies to local conditions. Investments in emerging technologies and improvements in education and access to health services are fundamental to overcoming existing challenges. Collaboration between health institutions, governments and communities can significantly contribute to reducing the prevalence of these infections and promoting more equitable and efficient public health.
