PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF FEMALE URINARY INCOMPETENCE

This article aims to identify the possible impacts of urinary incontinence on women's lives, as it is a more common problem in women. The definition of urinary incontinence is characterized by any involuntary loss of urine, which causes social or health concern to the patient. This disorder is more common in women and can occur at any age and is attributed to several factors. It may be related to primary or secondary bladder changes and may be caused by urethral disorders during bladder function. It is worth mentioning that stress incontinence, urge incontinence and mixed incontinence are some of the main types of incontinence. Among the risk factors that can cause urinary incontinence, pregnancy, birth weight, obesity, gynecological surgery, types of birth, menopause, constipation, chronic diseases, hereditary factors, smoking, among others, tend to cause urinary loss. Loss of urine can cause various social effects on the patient, such as discomfort, discomfort, frequent use of the bathroom, the smell of urine, problems during sexual intercourse, in addition to directly affecting the patient's quality of life. women. A literature review was carried out, from which five articles were selected by Google Scholar in March 2021, using specific keywords: “impacts of urinary incontinence and women” and the impacts that can cause urine loss during the routine of woman. From this review it was concluded that this problem can be caused by several factors and exists in women of all ages, but is rarely treated in society and literature, although it causes some personal and social problems throughout a woman's life.
