RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GRADUATES AND PATIENTES IN BIOSAFETY CONDUCT IN THE INTEGRATED DENTISTRY CLINIC

Introduction and objective: The present study evaluated the degree of importance of biosafety in the patients' view of preventive measures taken by students of the undergraduate Dentistry course at FACIPLAC (DF) so that there is no loss or damage related to them. Methodologies and results: This work was based on a bibliographic review and qualitative field research. Data were collected through a self-administered and semi-structured questionnaire for patients before dental care, and immediately after being seen, they underwent new assessments. Results: Data from this project reveal that clinic users are concerned about their own health, however, they demonstrate little knowledge about the rules that must be followed; Among the main concerns are the single use of disposable materials and the importance of communication between the dentist and the patient. There were no complaints about the clinic's hygiene, and some reservations were made about the students' actions. Conclusion: According to the limits of the research, it was found that students on the undergraduate Dentistry course at FACIPLAC (DF) demonstrated knowledge of the importance of biosafety standards in their daily clinical activities.
