Abstract

This article aims to explore emerging aspects in the imaging diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, highlighting recent technological advances and their clinical implications. To select the articles, the Scielo and Pubmed databases were used, with the search terms “Ectopic pregnancy”, “Diagnosis by image”, “Diagnostic exam”, combined by the Boolean operator “AND”. The results indicate that advances in diagnostic imaging have significantly improved the identification of ectopic pregnancy, through some exams, such as high-definition ultrasound, combined with serum β-HCG quantification, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and artificial intelligence. These developments promise to continually improve the ability to detect and treat ectopic pregnancy.
