Abstract
This article aims to evaluate the clinical aspects of heart failure performed in the last five years. Integrative review in the BVS, LILACS, SciELO, PubMed database of works published between 2020 and 2024, combining the descriptors "acute pancreatitis", "diagnosis" and "treatment" with the Boolean descriptor "AND". Acute pancreatitis is an acute inflammatory process resulting from self-digestion of the pancreas caused by the pancreatic enzymes itself, which may or may not subsequently involve other regional tissues, organs or tissues at a distance. It is concluded that the presence of a characteristic clinical history of acute pancreatitis associated with an increase in serum levels of pancreatic enzymes amylase and lipase confirms the clinical-laboratory diagnosis. The objectives of treating acute pancreatitis are clinical support with volume replacement, analgesia, control of nausea/vomiting, early refeeding and providing support for systemic complications when present.
