Abstract

Melanoma is the most severe form of skin cancer, characterized by its high aggressiveness and metastatic potential. Early detection and appropriate management are essential to improve patient survival. This narrative review discusses recent advances in melanoma management, including diagnostic techniques, prognostic factors, and therapeutic strategies. The methodology involved reviewing selected articles from PubMed, Medline, BVS, UpToDate, and LILACS databases, resulting in a detailed analysis of 11 studies. The results highlight the importance of immunotherapy, the role of molecular markers, and multidisciplinary approaches in the treatment of metastatic melanoma and cutaneous metastases. The review emphasizes the need for personalized and combined strategies to enhance clinical outcomes and patient quality of life.
