Abstract

Introduction: Dentin hypersensitivity is an acute and fast pain and affects several patients with a multifactorial etiology and among the main causes is the use of orthodontic appliances, which is also a risk factor for gingival recession (GR), especially in patients with a thin periodontal phenotype. Objective: the present study aims to report a case of multiple RR in the latero-inferior region using autogenous graft in the area of LCNCs. Case Report: Male patient, 32 years old, non-smoker, non-alcoholic and without systemic alterations and without previous allergies, was referred to a dental clinic of a course in periodontics, in the city of Belém, northern Brazil, with the complaint main HD in the lateral-inferior region. In the clinical examination, multiple GR type 1 (RT1) were verified, in teeth 43, 44 (presence of non-carious cervical lesion) and 45, presence of thin and scalloped periodontal phenotype, without interproximal bone loss, absence of bleeding on probing, biofilm and dental calculus. The indicated treatment was root coverage using the coronal sliding technique associated with autogenous graft to improve the clinical level of insertion and increase the band of keratinized mucosa with MDA fixed with sutures. Conclusion: In view of the above, we found that the clinical results reported in this study indicated an excellent clinical result for an increase in the keratinized mucosal strip, clinical gain in insertion and HD resolution.
