The present study's main objective is to analyze the data obtained through epidemiological analysis of patients hospitalized with Acute Myocardial Infarction, in all regions of Brazil. This is an epidemiological study, of a descriptive nature, with information obtained through the Hospital Admissions System by the Information Technology Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), analyzing the profile of patients hospitalized with Acute Myocardial Infarction, in Brazil in a time frame from 2017 to 2023, filtered by the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10), the code used was Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). The criteria evaluated were: ethnicity/race, regions, age range, characteristics of care and period. Data from patients hospitalized with acute myocardial infarction were analyzed, where there were 1,090,527 hospitalizations between 2016 and 2024. The Southeast region leads in number of hospitalizations with 534,174 hospitalizations, followed by male individuals with 693,461 hospitalizations, with a higher prevalence of white ethnicity among individuals aged 60 to 69 years. Therefore, the study contributes significantly to the construction of new data and future research, highlighting possible forms of tracking and prevention that directly impact army spending through the Unified Health System (SUS).
