Medicinal cannabis is already considered an important therapeutic option, as scientific evidence highlights the treatment of chronic orofacial pain, thus proving excellent results. It is important that the professional knows the correct indication and dosage to direct the treatment individually according to the needs of each patient. CONCLUSION: Orofacial pain is among the most common situations in dental care, and the use of cannabis proves to be an important ally in the treatment of these discomforts, being able to enhance the action of medications already used in these treatments, or even replacing them. However, there is a need for more studies to prove the safety of its use.
