Abstract

Edentulism, characterized as a physical disability with attributes similar to a chronic condition, demands strategic approaches to overcome the associated functional and psychological limitations. This article aims to explore the application of immediate loading in the All-on-Four jaw protocol, highlighting the advantages of the technique, its critical considerations during the surgical procedure and prosthetic depth. To this end, we adopted an approach based on retrospective analyzes of scientific publications, using the PubMed and Google Scholar databases as primary sources of information. The search strategy was carefully designed through a combination of relevant keywords, including literature review articles and clinical research directly related to the guiding question of this work. The All-on-Four approach not only demonstrates clinical efficacy, but also stands out as a pragmatic choice, delivering positive results more efficiently compared to more extensive protocols. Its ability to overcome common challenges in conventional procedures contributes to its growing reach in clinical practice, providing a complete implant rehabilitation solution. These suggestions reinforce the relevance of the All-on-Four protocol as a viable and efficient alternative in clinical decision-making, offering not only economic and time-saving benefits, but also aesthetic and functional results for patients.
