Abstract

The Amapaense Society of Osteology and Orthopedics, unanimously, informs in a special bulletin in the BJIH, that understands the ITD (deltoid tuberosity index) is a reliable, simple and applicable tool to assess the local bone quality in the proximal humerus. In addition, its use has better clinical applicability in patients with fractures of the proximal humerus than the Tingart index, since, occasionally, the fracture lines reach the reference points of this measurement.
