Abstract
The uracus is a tubular structure of the fetal phase that extends from the bladder to the allantois with the function of removing nitrogenous excreta from the fetal body. Around the month fifth of gestation, this channel is obliterated, which with a fibrosis process transforms it into the median umbilical ligament. We present a case of a pediatric patient with vesico-uracal diverticulum (DVU) for permanence of the uracus (PU), by means of a retrospective clinical case study by analyzing medical records, with the objective of brief description of the literature about the treatment and its various approaches.
