FASCEÍTE NECROSANTE DE ORIGEM ODONTOGÊNICA EM PACIENTE IMUNOSSUPRIMIDA: RELATO DE CASO

A fasceíte necrosante é uma infecção bacteriana grave, de rápida progressão, que atinge os tecidos moles e pode levar à falência de múltiplos órgãos e morte, se não tratada precocemente. Este artigo apresenta o relato de um caso clínico de fasceíte necrosante de origem odontogênica, acometendo a região submandibular de uma paciente imunocomprometida, portadora do vírus HIV e em situação de vulnerabilidade social. O caso evidencia a importância do diagnóstico precoce, da intervenção cirúrgica agressiva e do suporte clínico multiprofissional para minimizar a morbimortalidade. Ressalta-se ainda que fatores como imunossupressão, higiene bucal inadequada e ausência de cuidados médicos são determinantes para a gravidade do quadro.
