EVENTOS ADVERSOS RELACIONADOS AO USO DE ANTIDEPRESSIVOS

Objetivos: Este estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre os efeitos colaterais de antidepressivos. Métodos: Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico do período de 2020 a 2025 nas bases de dados Google Scholar; Scientif Eletronic Library Online (scielo), National Library of Medicine (pubmed). Foram selecionados 41 artigos dos quais, após a leitura íntegra, foram excluídos aqueles que o conteúdo não impactou para construção deste artigo. Restando, assim, 29 artigos utilizados na elaboração da revisão após cuidadosa seleção. Resultados: Foram analisadas cinco classes de antidepressivos e seus respectivos efeitos colaterais. Os isrss são mais seguros em relação às classes mais antigas mas apresentam repercussões como disfunção sexual, ganho de peso e sudorese. Os irsns causam consequências como náuseas, boca seca, tremor e, em idosos, aumentam o risco de queda e fraturas, especialmente com duloxetina e venlafaxina. Os adts apesar de igualmente eficientes possuem maior toxicidade, o que pode ocasionar a descontinuação do tratamento pelo paciente. Os imaos possuem restrições alimentares com alimentos que possuem o aminoácido tiramina e não podem ser combinados a alguns medicamentos devido ao risco de gerar efeitos perigosos. Os antidepressivos atípicos possuem um perfil mais variável devido a uma menor probabilidade de causar um efeito secundário específico, o que faz deles uma boa alternativa para atender melhor às demandas do paciente em algumas situações. Conclusão: A revisão sistemática aponta que apesar de cada classe de antidepressivos possuem efeitos colaterais diversos que, se mal administrados, pode gerar complicações na vida do paciente e mostra que existem diversas formas de tratamento com o uso desses medicamentos, cabe ao médico decidir, juntamente do paciente, qual vai se encaixar melhor em cada situação
