Resumo

Este artigo tem por objetivo realizar uma varredura da literatura médica vigente sobre as responsabilidades do farmacêutico hospitalar no tratamento de pacientes com câncer. Foram utilizados como motores de busca os indexadores Scientific Electronic Library Online – SciELO; PubMed; BVS, Medline e Lilacs para seleção dos artigos, através dos unitermos “Farmacêutico, hospitalar e quimioterapia’’. Conclui-se que o farmacêutico oferece orientações claras e acessíveis sobre como proceder durante o tratamento, explicando os efeitos dos medicamentos, as medidas preventivas e os cuidados domiciliares necessários. Essa atuação educativa não só empodera o paciente, mas também melhora a comunicação entre a equipe de saúde e a família, tornando o tratamento mais humano e menos traumático.
