Resumo
Introdução: A cirurgia robótica (CR) é um dos procedimentos cirúrgicos minimamente invasivos
mais promissores, e sua introdução na pediatria em 2001 trouxe uma nova perspectiva ao
contexto cirúrgico. A tecnologia robótica cirúrgica avança rapidamente, com dois sistemas
principais atualmente em uso, o Da Vinci e o Senhance, embora novas tecnologias estejam sendo
desenvolvidas para superar as limitações desses sistemas. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão
de literatura integrativa, baseada em uma busca realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, SciELO e
Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Foram coletados 28 artigos após a aplicação dos critérios de
inclusão, dos quais foram extraídas as principais ideias que respondem à pergunta norteadora da
pesquisa: “Quais são as principais mudanças e perspectivas no campo da robótica pediátrica na
atualidade?”. Resultados e Discussão: A cirurgia robótica tem ganhado força na pediatria devido
a seus benefícios, como menor risco de complicações, tempo reduzido de internação e menor
uso de narcóticos pós-cirúrgicos. Existem projetos inovadores na área que prometem
revolucionar a cirurgia em geral, embora suas aplicações na pediatria ainda sejam especulativas.
Todavia, existem limitações importantes que impedem a implementação dessa modalidade em
larga escala, entre elas o alto custo de instalação e manutenção, além do tempo e dos recursos
necessários para o treinamento dos cirurgiões. Apesar disso, a CR continua conquistando novos
adeptos, especialmente na urologia, onde é mais utilizada tanto em adultos quanto em pediatria.
O crescimento em outros campos da medicina também é promissor, como na cirurgia fetal,
cirurgia geral, cirurgias transorais, neurocirurgia e oncologia. Conclusão: Os benefícios da CR em
comparação com outros procedimentos minimamente invasivos são notórios, sobretudo na
urologia, e as limitações tendem a diminuir com o avanço da tecnologia e a disseminação da
modalidade.
