Resumo
A pancreatite aguda, doença inflamatória que destrói os tecidos peripancreáticos, está entre as doenças mais comuns entre os distúrbios gastroenterológicos, sendo cálculos biliares e álcool as principais etiologias. Esta revisão tem como objetivo explorar dados relativos aos mecanismos fisiopatológicos e diagnósticos da pancreatite aguda, reunindo e analisando as informações mais recentes sobre o assunto. Este estudo consiste em uma revisão bibliográfica de caráter descritivo, em que foram analisados trabalhos científicos disponíveis nas plataformas: Pubmed, BVS e Scielo, a pesquisa foi conduzida com base nos artigos publicados entre 2019 e 2024, em inglês ou português e com acesso ao conteúdo integral. Como critérios a seleção envolveu artigos completos e livres nos bancos de dados, excluiu-se os artigos que não se encaixaram nos critérios supracitados. No total, 10 artigos foram incluídos na revisão. Sendo utilizados os termos-chave em inglês “acute pancreatitis”, “pathophysiology” and “diagnosis” e seus correspondentes em português. Através desta revisão destacam-se a compreensão dos mecanismos subjacentes à pancreatite aguda, sendo possível compreender que além de um tratamento oportuno para reduzir o risco de complicações graves na PA é necessário verificar essencialmente os resultados clínicos e a qualidade de vida dos pacientes afetados.
