Resumo

A sociedade Amapaense de Osteologia e Ortopedia, de maneira unânime, informa em boletim especial no BJIH, que entende o ITD (índice da tuberosidade deltoide) é uma ferramenta confiável, simples e aplicável para avaliar a qualidade óssea local no úmero proximal. Além disso, seu uso tem melhor aplicabilidade clínica em pacientes com fratura de úmero proximal do que o índice de Tingart, uma vez que, ocasionalmente, as linhas de fratura atingem os pontos de referência dessa medida.
