Síndrome Geniturinária da Menopausa: Opções Terapêuticas à Luz das Evidências Atuais

Resumo

A síndrome geniturinária da menopausa (SGM) é uma condição frequente decorrente do déficit estrogênico, capaz de provocar sintomas genitais, urinários e sexuais que podem comprometer a qualidade de vida das mulheres. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar, na literatura científica, as evidências atuais acerca das opções terapêuticas para o tratamento da SGM. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com buscas nas bases PubMed/MEDLINE e LILACS, entre julho e setembro de 2026. Foram incluídos estudos publicados entre 2021 e 2026, em inglês ou português, disponíveis em texto completo e relacionados diretamente ao manejo da SGM. Foram identificados 633 artigos, dos quais 13 foram excluídos por duplicidade. Após a triagem por títulos e resumos, 35 artigos foram avaliados integralmente e, ao final, 21 estudos foram incluídos na revisão. Os achados demonstraram ampla diversidade terapêutica, incluindo terapias hormonais locais e sistêmicas, agentes não hormonais, ácido hialurônico, laser, radiofrequência, fotobiomodulação e plasma rico em plaquetas. De modo geral, as diferentes intervenções apresentaram melhora dos sintomas geniturinários e da função sexual, embora os resultados tenham variado entre os estudos. A heterogeneidade metodológica, especialmente quanto aos protocolos, desfechos, tamanho amostral e tempo de seguimento, limita a comparação direta entre as modalidades. Conclui-se que o tratamento da SGM deve ser individualizado, considerando características clínicas, intensidade dos sintomas, preferências da paciente, contraindicações e disponibilidade terapêutica. Apesar dos resultados promissores de diferentes abordagens, permanecem necessárias evidências mais robustas para estabelecer a eficácia comparativa e o papel das terapias emergentes.
