Achados Radiológicos da Lesão Pulmonar Associada ao Uso de Cigarros Eletrônicos (EVALI) em Adolescentes

A lesão pulmonar associada ao uso de cigarros eletrônicos ou produtos vaping (EVALI) tornou-se um importante problema de saúde pública, principalmente entre adolescentes e adultos jovens. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os principais achados radiológicos da EVALI em adolescentes acometidos pela doença. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, de caráter qualitativo e quantitativo, realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE/PubMed, PEDro e SciELO, utilizando os descritores “EVALI” e “VAPING”. Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre 2013 e 2023, disponíveis na íntegra e relacionados aos achados radiológicos da EVALI. Os principais achados identificados foram opacidades bilaterais em vidro fosco, consolidações parenquimatosas, infiltrados intersticiais pulmonares e espessamento dos septos interlobulares. Também foram observadas complicações menos frequentes, como pneumotórax, pneumomediastino e derrame pleural. A tomografia computadorizada apresentou elevada sensibilidade diagnóstica, sendo considerada o principal exame de imagem para identificação da doença. Conclui-se que os exames radiológicos possuem papel fundamental no diagnóstico precoce da EVALI, contribuindo para melhor condução clínica e prevenção de complicações respiratórias.
