REOSSEOINTEGRAÇÃO: CONCEITO, FORMAS DE OBTENÇÃO E PREVISIBILIDADE

Resumo

Este trabalho teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão da literatura para elucidar o conceito de reosseointegração, assim como suas formas de obtenção na prática moderna da odontologia reconstrutiva e a previsibilidade destas técnicas em longo prazo. Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico acerca do tema proposto através da base de dados Medline. Diversas metodologias são descritas e os estudos selecionados serviram de embasamento para esta revisão, levando-se em consideração as limitações dos estudos. Conclui-se que a reosseointegração é factível de ser obtida em superfícies implantares previamente comprometidas. Algumas formas de obtenção são propostas com graus variados de sucesso, sendo que nenhuma delas pode ser considerada mais previsível que a outra, o que dificulta a tomada de decisão por um protocolo específico na prática clínica. Apesar das evidências clínicas e radiográficas encontradas, estudos em humanos ainda são limitados devido à impossibilidade de análise histológica. O que torna questionável a previsibilidade e sucesso da reosseointegração em longo prazo.
