Reabilitação Bucal Interdisciplinar: Relato de Caso

Dentre as preocupações da Odontologia, a perda dental ainda é uma problemática de difícil resolução. Diante das implicações estéticas e funcionais geradas por esse fato, tentativas reabilitadoras têm sido propostas. Dificuldades terapêuticas inerentes a morfologia local, nível de comprometimento das estruturas associadas à aceitabilidade do paciente, são questões que interferem na escolha do tratamento. Desse modo, este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso de uma paciente do sexo feminino, com 57 anos de idade, submetida à implantodontia com colocação de próteses implantosuportadas na mandíbula. Foi seguido um plano de tratamento interdisciplinar utilizando-se o sistema de prótese sobre implantes (elementos 34, 36 e 46), associado à confecção de uma nova prótese total convencional no arco superior. Como resultado foi evidenciado uma satisfação estética e funcional por parte da paciente, com melhorias para a sua qualidade de vida. Conclui-se que a prótese implantossuportada, constitui-se numa alternativa de tratamento de excelente perspectiva, como alternativa a reabilitação bucal com prótese parcial removível.
