Potencial Terapêutico do Ozônio em Odontologia: Avanços e Perspectivas: Revisão de Literatura

Em virtude de suas propriedades antimicrobianas, cicatrizantes, anti-inflamatórias, antifúngicas e imunomoduladoras, o emprego do ozônio tem sido amplamente difundido como terapia complementar na área da saúde. Na odontologia, a ozonioterapia também vem sendo cada vez mais divulgada como tratamento auxiliar nas diferentes áreas odontológicas, mostrando-se como uma alternativa promissora, efetiva e segura para fins terapêuticos. Diante desse cenário, o presente estudo tem como objetivo ressaltar, por meio de uma revisão de literatura, os principais aspectos relacionados ao gás ozônio, seu uso terapêutico nas diferentes especialidades odontológicas, além de seus avanços e perspectivas futuras.
