Resumo

A Doença Pulmonar Obstrutiva Crônica (DPOC) é uma enfermidade respiratória progressiva que representa um importante desafio para a saúde pública global, associando-se a altos índices de morbimortalidade. A adesão ao tratamento é um fator determinante para o controle clínico da doença, mas é frequentemente comprometida por uma complexa interação de aspectos técnicos, socioeconômicos, psicológicos e ambientais. Dentre os principais desafios estão a dificuldade no uso correto dos dispositivos inalatórios, barreiras financeiras e geográficas ao acesso à reabilitação pulmonar, bem como a influência negativa de distúrbios mentais como ansiedade e depressão. Este trabalho analisa criticamente as barreiras à adesão e discute estratégias eficazes, como o uso de inaladores inteligentes, suporte farmacêutico, programas educacionais, telereabilitação e tecnologias digitais, que demonstram impacto positivo na adesão terapêutica e nos desfechos clínicos. Também se evidencia a importância da personalização do tratamento e da integração de abordagens multidisciplinares, com ênfase na relação médico-paciente, saúde mental, ambiente domiciliar e preferências individuais. Conclui-se que a superação das barreiras à adesão exige ações coordenadas e contínuas, com foco na humanização do cuidado, inovação tecnológica e equidade no acesso aos serviços de saúde, visando à melhoria da qualidade de vida dos pacientes com DPOC.
