Resumo

Este artigo revisa a literatura atual sobre a relação entre transtornos do sono e a evolução da doença hepática gordurosa não alcoólica (DHGNA). A seleção dos artigos foi realizada utilizando as bases de dados PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science, com os termos “Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease,” “Sleep Disorders,” e “Progression.” A revisão abrange estudos recentes que investigam o impacto de condições como apneia obstrutiva do sono, insônia e distúrbios do ritmo circadiano na progressão da DHGNA. A conclusão aponta que a identificação e o manejo adequado dos transtornos do sono podem contribuir para retardar a evolução da doença hepática, promovendo melhores desfechos clínicos e qualidade de vida para os pacientes.
