Resumo

Objetivos: Avaliar a eficácia dos tratamentos endodônticos regenerativos em dentes maduros e imaturos, necrosados e/ou com periodontite apical, e comparar com o tratamento endodôntico convencional. Revisão de literatura: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura que foi realizada entre dezembro de 2024 e janeiro de 2025, a pergunta que norteou a busca foi “Os procedimentos endodônticos regenerativos são eficazes para a terapia de dentes necrosados?”. A partir disso, foi feita a busca nas bases de dados PubMed (U.S. National Library of Medicine) e BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Sa ̇de), com lapso temporal de 5 anos. A estratégia de busca foi formulada pela conjugação dos descritores indexados no DeCS/MeSH “Necrose da polpa dentária”, “Periodontite Apical” e “Endodontia Regenerativa”, combinados ao operador booleano “AND”. Os critérios de seleção foram: estudos publicados nos  últimos 5 anos, que estivessem relacionados com a pergunta norteadora, com texto completo disponível em português, inglês e espanhol, revisões sistemáticas de literatura, metanálises e ensaios clínicos randomizados. A busca inicial resultou na identificação de 183 artigos. Destes, 07 artigos foram incluídos na pesquisa. Conclusão: Os tratamentos endodônticos regenerativos (REPs) são eficazes para dentes com necrose pulpar, promovendo cicatrização e desenvolvimento radicular. Apesar de promissores, enfrentam desafios como descoloração da coroa e limitada organização do tecido regenerado.
