Resumo
A hipotensão, condição caracterizada pela queda anômala da pressão arterial, pode ter diversas origens, incluindo hipovolemia (como em casos de exsanguinação), falha da bomba cardíaca (observada em insuficiência cardíaca grave ou choque cardiogênico decorrente de infarto do miocárdio), e má distribuição do fluxo sanguíneo (como em choque séptico ou anafilático). Cada uma dessas condições interfere no suprimento adequado de oxigênio e nutrientes aos tecidos, levando a uma hipoperfusão e, em última instância, à disfunção de órgãos vitais.
