1- General analysis
Upon receipt, the manuscript is forwarded to the Editor for screening and subsequently distributed to the journal's reviewers. This occurs immediately after submitting the article.
2- Evaluation process
The manuscript is submitted to the evaluation of two referee consultants, from an institution different from that of the author(s), in a process in which the works are analyzed in relation to the following aspects: adequacy of the title to the content; originality; publication structure; clarity and pertinence of objectives; methodology; Results and discussion; intelligible information, and appropriate citations and references.
The BJIHS charges a quick review from its reviewers. Usually in 15 days the article has already been evaluated.
3- The reviewers complete the substantiated opinion, considering or rejecting the article for publication.
- If the article is approved, a fee in the amount of 300 reais will be issued for processing and publication of the article.
- The recommendation of the article for publication does not extinguish the need for corrections, alterations and/or adaptations that may be requested by the reviewer or editor of the journal.
- In the case of corrections or adjustments, the editor sends an e-mail requesting a return from the authors within 30 (thirty) calendar days and if the authors do not return the manuscript, the process is archived.
4- The peer review process will preserve the identity of the reviewers (double blind).
5- After the opinion of the reviewers, the manuscript will be evaluated by the Editor, who may request other adjustments before final approval.
6- In case of identification of plagiarism in the manuscript AT ANY TIME OF THE EDITORIAL PROCESS, the article will be rejected, the process archived and the authors informed of the occurrence.
