Abstract

Stroke is defined as a sudden and repeated change, leading to paralysis of the affected area in the central nervous system, which can develop irreversible and disabling sequelae for those affected. Objective: To demonstrate, through a review of studies, the effects of dual-task exercise on individuals' daily activities, when it comes to carrying out two simultaneous activities. Methodology: This research was carried out through a literature review of articles that were published between 2013 and 2023 in databases such as: PUBmed, PEDro, VHL and MedLINE in English and Portuguese and according to the topic sought. Results: According to the searches carried out in the databases, 412 quantified works on the topic were found, using the PUBmed, PEDro, VHL and Medline databases. In view of the exclusion protocols, 390 articles were excluded as they did not meet the inclusion criteria, with 22 articles being selected that met the study's inclusion criteria. Final Considerations: The effectiveness of dual-task training shows positive results in the lives of individuals affected by stroke, improving the general functional capacity and quality of life of these patients.
