Abstract

The current work aims to analyze and expose the use of imaging tests in the evaluation of hepatic steatosis. This study is an integrative review, which was carried out from the research of the following descriptors in health sciences (DeCS): hepatic; steatosis; diagnosis; image. Of these, only articles published in the year 2023, until July 5, were selected, selecting 17 articles, where 7 were excluded and only 10 were analyzed for the preparation of the work. The imaging evaluation of hepatic steatosis is of great relevance, both in confirming the diagnosis and in measuring its severity, however each method of examination has its particular limitations, such as the high cost of Magnetic Resonance and the ineffectiveness of Ultrasound in the assessment of steatosis light. In view of this information, a meeting of the main studies on this topic is necessary to assist in the therapeutic plan.
