Abstract

Robotic surgery represents a transformative technological advancement in contemporary surgical practice, offering new perspectives and challenges for healthcare professionals and researchers. This narrative review examines the current applications of robotic surgery and the limitations it faces, focusing on its impact on surgical outcomes and patient care quality. The widespread adoption of robotic systems, such as the da Vinci System, across various medical specialties is discussed, highlighting potential benefits in terms of precision and patient recovery. However, challenges such as high costs and the learning curve for surgeons remain significant barriers to the widespread adoption of robotic surgery in clinical practice.
