Abstract

This review article addresses surgical approaches in the treatment of heart diseases, highlighting recent advancements and implications for clinical practice. The introduction emphasizes the importance of the topic, given the prevalence of heart diseases and the associated treatment challenges. The methodology included a systematic search in scientific databases, using specific key terms and rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results are synthesized into topics covering myocardial revascularization surgery, cardiac valve replacement and repair, surgery for arrhythmias, and advancements in minimally invasive techniques. Each topic discusses the efficacy, safety, and clinical outcomes associated with these approaches. The discussion highlights the importance of individualized assessment and considers limitations and recommendations for future research. The conclusion summarizes the findings, highlighting the ongoing evolution of cardiac surgery and the need for integrated and innovative therapeutic approaches. This study provides a comprehensive and updated overview of surgical techniques in the treatment of heart diseases, contributing to clinical practice and research in the field.
