Resumo
Fatores biológicos, cirúrgicos, relacionados ao projeto dos implantes e protéticos interferem diretamente na remodelação óssea, fazendo-se necessário conhecê-los a fim de obtermos uma maior longevidade nos tratamentos com implantes dentários. O objetivo desse trabalho de revisão de literatura, foi analisar os principais fatores relacionados a manutenção óssea peri-implantar. Foi utilizado o Pub-Med como plataforma de busca para todos os artigos e 42 foram selecionados. Os resultados mostraram que, quando analisados isoladamente, os fatores influenciam pouco, porém quando associados podem melhorar significativamente a preservação óssea e consequentemente aumentar a longevidade dos tratamentos com implantes. A conclusão foi que o profissional deve conhecer todos os fatores que interferem na remodelação óssea para decidir, antes mesmo da instalação do implante, quais os fatores que estão sob controle dele, e assim ter maior previsibilidade nos tratamentos.
