Resumo
Este artigo tem por objetivo explorar a literatura médica vigente acerca das alterações comportamentais e sintomas psiquiátricos relacionados ao período puerperal. Foram utilizadas as bases de dados: PubMed, Scielo, Uptodate, ScienceDirect e Google Acadêmico. Após seleção, os artigos foram submetidos a critérios de inclusão e exclusão para produção de revisão sistemática. Conclui-se que as alterações comportamentais no período puerperal resultam em disfunções significativas à qualidade de vida, funcionalidade e estado geral de saúde das pacientes e sua prole.
