Abstract

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is available and affordable for use in Endodontics. Given the availability of this technological innovation for its applicability in root canal treatment, the objective of this paper was to discuss the advantages of CBCT in resolving a case of failure of a maxillary first molar, in which the second canal of the mesiobuccal root was not located and consequently not treated in the first intervention. Essential steps for the success of endodontic therapy, from diagnosis to accurate planning for carrying out endodontic reintervention, demonstrated the efficiency of CBCT as a high-impact auxiliary resource for solving complex cases in Endodontics
