Abstract

This article aims to review the scientific literature on the psychosocial impact of a gynecological cancer diagnosis in women of reproductive age, focusing on psychological challenges and therapeutic approaches. The research, conducted using the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases with the terms "Gynecological cancer, Psychosocial impact, Women of reproductive age," showed that the diagnosis can profoundly affect the emotional health of patients, particularly due to the potential loss of fertility and body changes. Appropriate management involves a multidisciplinary approach, with oncologists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide emotional and psychological support, helping with adaptation during and after treatment. Psychological support, including counseling on fertility preservation and reproductive alternatives, is essential to improve quality of life and reduce the negative effects on the mental health of women.
