Abstract
This article aims to review the scientific literature on the multidisciplinary management of penetrating thoracic trauma associated with intracranial injuries, with an emphasis on therapeutic approaches and clinical challenges. PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were used, with the search terms "Penetrating thoracic trauma, Intracranial injuries, Multidisciplinary management." The review showed that the management of these cases requires an integrated approach across different specialties, such as thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and intensive care. Thoracic trauma can cause severe complications, such as hemorrhages and pneumothorax, while intracranial injuries require prompt interventions to prevent permanent neurological damage. Collaboration among medical teams and prioritization of interventions for hemodynamic stabilization and brain monitoring are essential for successful treatment and patient recovery.
