Abstract
Introduction: In Intensive Care Units (ICUs), patient care relies on multidisciplinary teams composed of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, among others. Each professional plays a specific role, complementing the work of others. Managing emergencies in intensive care requires coordinated action by multidisciplinary teams. Periodic training has been identified as a fundamental tool to optimize performance in critical situations. Objective: This article aims to analyze the impact of multidisciplinary training in ICU emergencies, highlighting its influence on patient clinical outcomes and team effectiveness. Method: This study is a literature review with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Research was conducted in scientific databases such as Medline, Lilacs, and BDENF using descriptors like "Tutoring," "Emergencies," "Intensive Care Units," and "Evaluation of Health Care Outcomes," as well as in grey literature. Results and Discussion: The analyzed studies demonstrated that multidisciplinary training improves communication effectiveness, reduces emergency response time, and decreases complications such as cardiopulmonary arrest. These impacts resulted in reduced mortality and improved satisfaction among professionals and patients. Conclusion: Multidisciplinary training is essential to optimize emergency care, emphasizing the need for the implementation of regular and evaluative programs in ICUs.
