PREPARATION OF THE ROOT CANAL IN A SINGLE SESSION OF THE UPPER MOLAR WITH PRODESIGN LOGIC – CASE REPORT

The objective of this study was to describe the preparation of root canals with a rotary system in a lower molar. After clinical and radiographic examination, the probable diagnosis was symptomatic irreversible pulpitis, and the preparation was carried out with the Easy ProDesign Logic rotary system. Exploration of the root canals was carried out with #10 c-pilot lime, based on the apparent length of the tooth on the radiograph, and irrigation with 2% Chlorhexidine gel. The foraminal patency was performed after electronic odontometry (Iroot Apex) with the Prodesign Logic #30.01 file in the mesiobuccal and distobuccal canals and #45.01 in the palatal canal, one millimeter beyond the exit of the foramen. The preparation of the root canals was carried out with a Prodesign Logic #30.05 file in the mesiobuccal and distobuccal canals and #45.05 in the palatal canal. Root canal filling, carried out in the same session with the MX single cone technique (Tanari) associated with Bio-C Sealer cement. It was concluded that the ProDesign Logic system determined a good shape of the canals, facilitating the filling of the root canal system.
