Abstract

The objective was to analyze the effects of physical exercise on depression and anxiety in adults, through a literature review. The results showed that physical exercise contributed to a significant improvement in symptoms of anxiety and depression. It is concluded that regular physical exercise contributes to mental health, especially in cases of depressive and anxiety disorders, being a low-cost, well-accepted tool, with no side effects and that can be used as an alternative or complementary therapy. to traditional treatment.
