Abstract

This study aims to identify the impacts of leadership actions among the multidisciplinary team in the scope of Primary Health Care. This is an integrative literature review. It was thus possible to structure the following guiding question: “What are the impacts of leadership actions on the multidisciplinary team within the scope of Primary Health Care? ”. A survey was carried out through the electronic library, the Virtual Health Library, selecting the following databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Database of Nursing and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences. Inclusion criteria are: I) studies published from 2019 to 2023; II) in Portuguese, English and Spanish; III) studies available in full and IV) answer the guiding question of the study. As exclusion criteria, those that were not available for reading, duplicated, incomplete and unrelated to the central theme chosen were excluded. After applying the eligibility criteria, 9 selected articles were used. It was found that the approach of the team in Primary Health Care, when performed properly, provides improvements in care, and leadership plays a fundamental role in this regard, enabling the best functioning of the team in question. It was also evident that the relational dynamics and effective communication of multidisciplinary teams adds quality to the relationships between its components. Another finding is that when collaboration between team members is independent of professional status and with reduced hierarchies, participation among professionals becomes more active. With this, interprofessional communication, trust, respect, team meetings, active participation of all team members and collaborative leadership provide greater effectiveness in solving the problems encountered and intensifies the strengthening of the professional bond between team members. It also emphasizes the need for more in-depth investigations into the impacts of leadership actions in their various realities in the country.
