Abstract

This article aims to perform an integrative review of emerging pharmacological treatments for dyspepsia, using the PubMed database with the terms "Dyspepsia", "Treatment", "Proton Pump Inhibitors". In summary, the analysis of emerging pharmacological treatments for dyspepsia highlights the significant potential of these new approaches to improve the management of the condition. The inclusion of gastric motility modulators and new formulations of proton pump inhibitors offers promising alternatives for patients who do not obtain satisfactory relief with traditional therapies. In addition, the investigation of innovative methods such as modulation of the intestinal microbiota and gastric electrical stimulation opens new possibilities for the treatment of dyspepsia, with the potential to address symptoms in a more effective and personalized manner. However, it is essential that the efficacy and safety of these emerging treatments be evaluated in larger and long-term studies before their widespread adoption. The integration of these new therapeutic options with established practices can optimize the treatment of dyspepsia and offer more effective alternatives for patients. Continuing research and adapting therapeutic strategies based on new evidence will be essential to improve the management of dyspepsia and ensure the best quality of life for affected patients.
