Abstract

Introduction: It is very problematic for the total edentulous patient submitted to the installation of osseointegrated implants to adapt their total prosthesis right after the surgery. Generally there is a severe maladjustment or even the total uselessness of the prosthetic apparatus.

Objectives: The objective of this article is to demonstrate a technique for making a fixed bar through intraoral welding performed immediately after the installation of the implants. This bar will fix the patient's prosthesis and allow better comfort and function for this patient's chewing.

Methodology: The prosthesis is modified by removing the flanges from the prosthesis. The remaining part of the teeth of the prosthesis is joined to the acrylic resin representing the gingiva and forming a bare dental arch composition. After implant placement, the Ti structure is manufactured by initial intra-oral welding, followed by extra-oral finishing. The prosthesis is then stabilized with acrylic resin in the structure intraorally.

Conclusion: The procedure improves patients' quality of life, is economical and time-consuming.
