Abstract
Currently, there is growing interest in cutaneous manifestations in individuals with Down syndrome (DS), due to their prevalence and significant impact on quality of life. This study conducted an integrative review to investigate dermatological conditions associated with DS, using a systematic search on PubMed, resulting in the selection of seven relevant articles. Key identified conditions include folliculitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, seborrheic dermatitis, among others. The analysis highlighted the high prevalence of these conditions and their unique clinical presentation in DS patients. It is concluded that an integrated, multidisciplinary approach is essential for effective management of these dermatological conditions, aiming to improve the well-being and health of these individuals.
