Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a complex and prevalent condition that compromises the heart's ability to meet the body's metabolic needs and is one of the main causes of global morbidity and mortality. Its diagnosis and treatment have evolved in recent years with the use of new technological resources that allow for earlier detection and more personalized approaches. This study, based on a narrative review of the literature, explores these innovations, highlighting advances in diagnostic methods such as echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance and computed tomography, as well as new therapies such as SGLT2 inhibitors and remote monitoring via telemedicine. The integration of these technologies, together with the use of AI, has improved the management of HF, offering greater precision in the diagnosis and follow-up of patients, although challenges such as costs and the need for wider validation still exist.
