Resumo

Esta revisão de literatura aborda as propriedades biológicas e o impacto dos agregados plaquetários na implantodontia. Através de uma análise de artigos publicados entre 1998 e 2024, selecionados nas bases de dados PubMed e Scopus, foram exploradas as aplicações clínicas desses biomateriais em enxertos ósseos, regeneração óssea guiada, levantamento de seio maxilar, implantes com carga imediata e tratamento da peri-implantite. Os agregados plaquetários têm mostrado ser eficazes na promoção da cicatrização e regeneração tecidual, melhorando a osseointegração e reduzindo a inflamação, devido à liberação de fatores de crescimento como PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, IGF-1 e EGF. No entanto, a variabilidade na composição dos agregados e as diferenças nos protocolos de preparação representam desafios que necessitam de padronização para otimizar os efeitos clínicos. A integração contínua desses biomateriais na prática odontológica moderna promete não apenas melhorar os resultados clínicos, mas também aumentar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes, consolidando os agregados plaquetários como ferramentas essenciais na implantodontia.
