Resumo
Este artigo apresenta uma revisão abrangente sobre a Terapia de Reposição Hormonal (TRH) na menopausa, com foco em sua eficácia e segurança. Avaliamos diferentes tipos de intervenções, como a combinação de estrogênio e progestógeno e o uso de estrogênio isolado, bem como o impacto da TRH em populações específicas, incluindo mulheres com alto risco de osteoporose e aquelas com condições cardiovasculares preexistentes. Os resultados indicam que a TRH é eficaz no alívio dos sintomas da menopausa e na prevenção da osteoporose, mas seu uso deve ser cuidadosamente avaliado devido aos potenciais riscos associados, como câncer de mama e doenças cardiovasculares. A revisão destaca a importância de uma abordagem individualizada, considerando fatores como idade, histórico de saúde e momento de início da terapia.
